I have an appreciation for nature and wildlife and I want to present that in my art. My search for inspiration has been influenced by my travels, hiking, camping and canoeing. I carry a sketchbook and paint supplies with me when traveling. I want to capture the light and the reflections on water in my landscape paintings. I love to study light and shadows and recreate them in my art. I love to show shapes and textures and experiment with colour in my paintings. I find that nature can be magical and powerful and I want to bring that raw natural beauty into my paintings.
